Blackwaterfoot, Isle of Arran, Scotland.
Well it could be, except I don't think Felicity's restaurant and tea room existed back then?
Just couldn't resist taking this image this morning whist enjoying our coffee and fresh cream scone sitting on the terrace. A young chap enjoying perhaps his first taste of the splendid game, and horses off down the beach bathed in the welcomed sunshine of the day. A tweak or two in the appropriate software and this 2014 picture is transformed back in time.
Beautiful summer evenings have just got to be taken advantage of, especially when you live (or holiday) on the wonderful Scottish Island of Arran. So, with our youngest son visiting from Edinburgh a spontaneous picnic became the order of the day on Blackwaterfoot Beach, here on the south west of the isle. This picture was taken nearing 9.30pm with warmth and gorgeous light still in abundance. Strangely we were the only ones to be soaking up these late summer rays. Modesty prevents me from announcing who won the game!
