Beautifully filmed and narrated, this video from the Arran Whisky company at Lochranza is a joy to watch, and with a Trip Advisor certificate of excellence awarded for 2014, the distillery has got to be a location to visit when on the island. For more information see their website at: ArranWhisky.com for daily tours and to view their wonderful selection of Malts. |

Caledonian MacBrayne The main boat operating for most of the year is 'Caledonian Isles' with help on hand from the 'Isle of Arran' over the busy periods. Eagle eyed observers will notice that both boats are present in the above film, commencing with the latter and arriving in Brodick with the former. All information can be found on the Calmac website: http://calmac.co.uk If you wish to receive updated texts of the Ardrossan to Brodick crossing from Calmac visit: http://status.calmac.info/service-status.aspx
Effie, our Airedale Terrier, has a Border Collie dog 'friend' called Flynn she occasionally meets on our beach, which usually means a crazy chase up and down the sand. This morning they surpassed themselves with this amusing scamper in and out of the tall grasses. Lenny, our pensionable Giant Schnauzer, clearly has a heart that's willing but legs that aren't! GH ![]() Well we did have a perfectly reasonable DVD player, BUT I felt it needed a serious upgrade. So, installed fresh out of the box today a very nice 5:1 Surround Home Cinema System which I have personally tried out this afternoon with one of my other half's least favourite discs "Top Gun" (I do do culture as well, honest). |
